CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA NO. 45) (COTTON PIECE GOODS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1958.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 45) (Cotton Piece Goods) (Amendment) Order, 1958.

2. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 45) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 330 of 1949 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for paragraph 4 of Part II of the Schedule of the following paragraph, namely :

"4. Woven piece goods which have undergone one or more of the processes of printing, painting or embossing."

Explanatory Note.

The effect of the amendment is to remove printed cotton piece goods from the scope of Control of Imports (Quota No. 45) Order, 1949.
