LIVE STOCK BREEDING ACT, 1925 (APPLICATION TO BOARS) ORDER, 1958.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 21 of the Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 (No. 3 of 1925), hereby order as follows :

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 (Application to Boars) Order, 1958.

(2) The Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 (Application to Boars) Order, 1930 ( S. R. & O. No. 70 of 1930 ), and this Order may be cited together as the Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 (Application to Boars) Orders, 1930 and 1958.

2. The Live Stock Breeding Act, 1925 (Application to Boars) Order, 1930, is hereby amended, with effect as from the making of this Order, by the addition at the end of Article 2 of :

" subject to the modification that regulations under subsection (1) of section 5 may b—

(a) either in respect of any particular breed or breeds or any particular type or types of boar or in respect of all boars other than boars of any particular class or classes (defined in any manner whatsoever), and

(b) either in respect of any specified area or areas comprising less than the whole of the State or in respect of the area comprised in the whole of the State "

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order enables the Minister to declare that boars other than boars of particular breeds or types, are unsuitable either for a specified area or areas or for the area comprised in the whole of the State.
