EXCHANGE CONTROL (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) REGULATIONS, 1958.

I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 27 of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 (No. 30 of 1954), hereby make the following regulations :

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Exchange Control (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1958.

(2) The Exchange Control Regulations, 1955 to 1958, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Exchange Control Regulations, 1955 to 1958.

2. The following Article is hereby substituted for Article 18 of the Exchange Control Regulations, 1955 ( S.I. No. 129 of 1955 ) :

" 18. Exemption is hereby granted from compliance with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 15 of the Act."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations grant a general exemption from the prohibition imposed by section 15 (2) of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 , on the importation of British and Northern Ireland currency notes from places outside Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
