GARDA SIOCHANA PAY ORDER, 1958.

I, OSCAR TRAYNOR, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), with the sanction of the Minister for Finance and after due compliance with subsection (2) of the said section 12, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1958.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3.—(1) Article 4 of the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 15 of 1956 ), is hereby amended by the deletion of :—

	£
"Surgeon—on appointment	1,344 per annum
After one year from appointment	1,387""
After two years from appointment	1,431""
and the substitution therefor of :—
" Surgeon—on appointment	1,500 per annum
After one year from appointment
After two years from appointment	1,600
After three years from appointment	1,650
After four years from appointment

(2) Paragraph (1) of this Article shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 21st day of January, 1958.
