Explanatory Note.

This instrument revokes the Bread (Maximum Prices) Order, 1957, which controlled the maximum retail prices of batch and fancy bread and which required that such bread should be baked only in units of less than 8 ozs. or in units of 1 lb. or multiples of 1 lb., and which regulated the manner in which such weights should be determined.
