AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (CEREALS) ACT, 1938 (SECTION 20 (2)) EXEMPTION ORDER, 1957.

I, SEÁN MOYLAN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 20 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938), hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (Section 20 (2)) Exemption Order, 1957.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1957.

2. The following articles shall, if they are consigned from a country outside continental Europe, be exempt from the operation of subsection (1) of section 20 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938), namely :

(a) linseed cake, linseed cubes, linseed nuts, linseed flakes and linseed cake meal,

(b) earth nut cake, earth nut cubes, earth nut nuts, earth nut flakes and earth nut cake meal,

(c) coconut cake, coconut cubes, coconut nuts, coconut flakes and coconut cake meal,

(d) palm kernel cake, otherwise palm nut cake, palm kernel nuts, palm kernel flakes and palm kernel meal, and

(e) soya bean cake, soya bean cubes, soya bean nuts, soya bean flakes and soya bean cake meal.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order frees the specified articles from import licensing control under the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Acts, 1933 to 1956, if consigned from a country outside continental Europe.
