CREAMERY BUTTER (LEVY) ORDER, 1957.

I, PROINSIAS MAC AOGÁIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), as amended by section 6 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 9 of 1941), by this Order make the following regulations:

1. This Order may be cited as the Creamery Butter (Levy) Order, 1957.

2. The Creamery Butter (Levy) (No. 2) Order, 1953 ( S.I. No. 309 of 1953 ), is hereby revoked as on and from the 9th day of May, 1957.

3. The rate of levy on creamery butter manufactured on or before the 8th day of May, 1957, other than creamery butter sold on or before the 8th day of May, 1957, shall be 12s. 8d. per cwt.

4. The rate of levy on creamery butter manufactured on or after the 9th day of May, 1957, shall be 9s. 8d. per cwt.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order imposes a levy of 12s. 8d. per cwt. on sales by creameries on and after the 9th May, 1957 of butter of their own manufacture produced before that date and a levy of 9s. 8d. per cwt. on sales by creameries on and after the 9th May, 1957 of butter of their own manufacture produced on and after that date.
