GAME PRESERVATION ACT, 1930 (PERIOD UNDER SECTION 27) (EXTENSION) ORDER, 1957.

I, OSCAR TRAYNOR, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 27 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930) and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (Period under Section 27) (Extension) Order, 1957.

(2) This Order and the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (Period under Section 27) (Extension) Orders, 1932 to 1952, may be cited together as the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (Period under Section 27) (Extension) Orders, 1932 to 1957.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.

3. In this Order, the expression " the period to which this Order applies " means the period of two years mentioned in sub-section (1) of Section 27 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), and extended to the 30th day of April, 1957, by the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (Period under Section 27) (Extension) Orders, 1932 to 1952.

4. The period to which this Order applies is hereby further extended by five years to the 30th day of April, 1962.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends until 30th April, 1962, the prohibition on the export of grouse, partridge and pheasant, except with the written permission of the local Superintendent of the Garda Síochána.
