EMERGENCY POWERS (CORAS IOMPAIR EIREANN) (REDUCTION OF RAILWAY SERVICES) ORDER, 1944 (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1957.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Córas Iompair Éireann) (Reduction of Railway Services) Order, 1944 (Revocation) Order, 1957.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 16th day of March, 1957.

2. The Emergency Powers (Córas Iompair Éireann) (Reduction of Railway Services) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 354 of 1944), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of the Instrument is to revoke the Emergency Powers (Córas Iompair Éireann) (Reduction of Railway Services) Order, 1944 which empowered C.I.E. to discontinue railway services temporarily in certain circumstances.

The purpose of the Order which has been revoked is now served by Section 4 of the Transport (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1955 .
