LABOUR COURT (APPOINTMENT OF WORKERS' MEMBERS) REGULATIONS, 1956.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (5) of section 10 or the Industrial Relations Act, 1946 (No. 26 of 1946), hereby make the following regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Labour Court (Appointment of Workers' Members) Regulations, 1956.

2. The appointment of workers' members of the Labour Court, to be made on the expiration of the term of office of the workers' members who are in office at the date of these Regulations, shall be made under subsection (5) of section 10 of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946 (No. 26 of 1946).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of these regulations is to enable the Minister to invite trade unions of workers and organisations of trade unions of workers to nominate persons for appointment to the Labour Court.
