THE SWINE FEVER INFECTED AREA ORDER, 1956.

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Agriculture Acts, 1931 to 1955, and the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1894 to 1954, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Swine Fever Infected Area Order, 1956.

2. The area comprising the County Borough of Dublin and that part of the administrative County of Dublin comprising the rural district of Rathdown No. 1 (including the Borough of Dun Laoire) shall be an infected area for the purposes of the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1894 to 1954.

3. The movement of swine out of the infected area is prohibited, except under licence in writing given by an Inspector of the Minister for Agriculture.

4. The movement of swine into the infected area is prohibited except for sale at the Dublin Corporation Market, North Circular Road, Dublin, or for immediate slaughter at a curing and slaughtering premises licensed under the Pigs and Bacon Acts 1935 to 1940, or at the Dublin Corporation Abattoir.

5. The movement of swine within the infected area from any premises to any other premises is prohibited except under licence in writing given by an Inspector of the Minister for Agriculture or a member of the Garda Síochána.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to prohibit the movement except under licence of swine within or out of the County Borough of Dublin and the Rural District of Rathdown No. 1 (including the Borough of Dun Laoire) and to prohibit the movement of swine into these areas otherwise than to the Dublin Corporation Market or for immediate slaughter at a slaughtering premises licensed under the Pigs and Bacon Acts.
