CONTROL OF EXPORTS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1956.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 2 of the Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956 (No. 1 of 1956), hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Control of Exports (Amendment) Order, 1956.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 23rd day of July, 1956.

2. The Schedule to the Control of Exports Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 57 of 1956 ), is hereby amended by the insertion in Part I after " Iron and steel scrap " of " Lead and manufactures thereof, lead alloys and manufactures thereof, lead scrap, lead bearing scrap, lead dross, lead residues and lead ashes."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to prohibit the export of the following items to any destination except under licence issued by the Minister for Industry and Commerce :—

lead and manufactures thereof,

lead alloys and manufactures thereof,

lead scrap, lead bearing scrap,

lead dross, lead residues and ashes.
