SOLICITORS' ACT, 1954 (APPRENTICES' FEES) REGULATIONS, 1956.

By virtue and in pursuance of Sections 4, 5, 79 and 82 of the Solicitors' Act 1954 and of every other power in this behalf the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland with the concurrence of the Chief Justice hereby make the following regulations :—

1. In these regulations the expression " the regulations of 1948 " means the regulations made by the Council of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland on 10th June, 1948 with reference to education examinations and lectures as amended in pursuance of the Solicitors' (Ireland) Act, 1898 and the expression " the regulations of 1955 " means the Solicitors' Act, 1954 (Apprenticeship and Education) Regulations 1955 ( S.I. No. 217 of 1955 ).

2. From and after the date of operation of these regulations the fees specified in the schedule hereto shall be paid to the Society by the petitioner or applicant in respect of the matters therein mentioned.

3. The Solicitors' Act, 1954 (Apprentices' Fees) Regulations 1954 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1954 ) shall be rescinded as from the date of operation of these regulations.

4. These regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1956.

5. These regulations may be cited as the Solicitors' Act, 1954 (Apprentices' Fees) Regulations 1956.
