COMMITTEES OF AGRICULTURE (SALARIES OF OFFICERS REGULATIONS, 1952 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1956

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 27 of the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), hereby make the following regulations :

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 (Amendment) Regulations, 1956.

(2) The Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 and 1953, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 to 1956.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. A salary payable under the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 ( S.I. No. 317 of 1952 ), shall be increased as follows :

(a) by twenty per cent. of so much thereof as does not exceed two hundred and seventy pounds,

(b) by fifteen per cent. of so much (if any) thereof as exceeds two hundred and seventy pounds but does not exceed nine hundred pounds, and

(c) by seven and one-half per cent. of so much (if any) thereof as exceeds nine hundred pounds,

subject to a minimum increase of sixty-two pounds.

4. Regulation 4 of the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1952 (Amendment) Regulations, 1953 ( S.I. No. 303 of 1953 ), is hereby revoked.
