RABBITS (CONTROL) ORDER, 1956. | ||
I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946) ), hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Rabbits (Control) Order, 1956. 2. A person shall not, on or after the 1st day of March, 1956, release any rabbit from captivity or confinement. 3. A person shall not, on or after the 1st day of March, 1956— | ||
(a) keep, or have in his possession or under his control any live wild rabbit, | ||
(b) dispose of any such rabbit by way of sale or gift or in any other manner whatsoever, or | ||
(c) acquire any such rabbit by way of purchase or gift or in any other manner whatsoever, | ||
save under and in accordance with a licence issued to him under this Order. 4.—(1) The Minister for Agriculture may, at his discretion, issue licences for the purposes of this Order and attach conditions to the licences. | ||
(2) Where conditions are attached to any such licence, the licensee shall comply with the conditions. | ||
