CONTROL OF IMPORTS (AMENDMENT OF QUOTA No. 1 AND REVOCATION OF QUOTA No. 14) ORDER, 1955.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Amendment of Quota No. 1 and Revocation of Quota No. 14) Order, 1955.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The inner tube of a pneumatic tyre shall, as well as the outer cover of a pneumatic tyre, be deemed to be a pneumatic tyre for the purposes of the Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) Order, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 230 of 1934 ), and " pneumatic tyre " shall in that order be construed accordingly.

4. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) (Amendment) Order, 1935 ( S. R. & O. No. 34 of 1935 ), and the Control of Imports (Quota No. 14) Order, 1935 ( S. R. & O. No. 64 of 1935 ), are hereby revoked.

5. This Order shall come into operation on the 31st day of December, 1955.
