MERCHANT SHIPPING (SAFETY CONVENTION) (COUNTRIES OF APPLICATION) ORDER, 1955.

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Act, 1952 (No. 29 of 1952), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) (Countries of Application) Order, 1955.

2. It is hereby declared—

(a) that the government of each of the countries mentioned in the First Schedule hereto has accepted the Safety Convention ;

(b) that the Safety Convention extends to each of the territories mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Countries the Governments of which have accepted the Safety Convention.

Cambodia

Hayti

Cuba

Nicaragua

Dominican Republic

Principality of Monaco

Egypt

Roumanian People's Republic

Federal Republic of Germany

Switzerland

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Territories to which Safety Convention extends.

Tunisia

Morocco

French Overseas and Trust Territories.
