AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (CEREALS) ACT, 1938 (SECTION 20 (2)) (EXEMPTION) ORDER, 1955.

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 20 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows:—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (Section 20 (2) ) (Exemption) Order, 1955.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of September, 1955.

2. There is hereby exempted from the operation of subsection (1) of section 20 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 , any article of the nature of a food or medicine for internal use, for the use of horses, mules, jennets, asses, cattle, sheep, swine, goats or poultry, which—

(a) passes in commerce under the designation of a proprietary or protected trade name, and

(b) consists solely of one of the following articles, that is to say—

(i) barium antimonyltartrate,

(ii) boracic acid,

(iii) carbon tetrachloride,

(iv) chlorodyne,

(v) halibut oil,

(vi) hexachloroethane,

(vii) male fern extract,

(viii) mistura bismuth salicylate cum brilliant green,

(ix) phenothiazine,

(x) sodium fluoride,

(xi) stilboestrol,

(xii) sulphaguanidine,

(xiii) sulphamerazine,

(xiv) sulphamezathine sodium (sulphadimidine),

(xv) sulphanilamide,

(xvi) sulphapyridine,

(xvii) sulphathalidine,

(xviii) sulphathiazole,

(xix) tetrachloroethane,

(xx) tetrachloroethylene,

(xxi) wheat-germ oil.
