WATERFORD HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS (ADDITIONAL LOCAL AUTHORITY MEMBERS) ORDER, 1955.

WHEREAS the councils of the counties of Waterford, Kilkenny and Tipperary (South Riding) have agreed to assist the Waterford Harbour Commissioners by guaranteeing, pursuant to section 7 of the Harbours Act, 1947 (No. 34 of 1947), repayment of the principal and payment of the interest of portion of a loan to be raised by the Commissioners:

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Industry and Commerce is of opinion that those councils should have representation in the membership of the Commissioners :

NOW, I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 8 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), after consultation with the Minister for Local Government, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Waterford Harbour Commissioners (Additional Local Authority Members) Order, 1955.

2. This Order shall have effect on and after the 7th day of July in the year 1955.

3. The councils of the counties of Waterford, Kilkenny and Tipperary (South Riding) shall each appoint one additional local authority member of the Waterford Harbour Commissioners.
