RULES OF PROCEDURE (DEFENCE FORCES), 1954 (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1955.

I, SEÁN MacEÓIN, Minister for Defence, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 240 of the Defence Act, 1954 (No. 18 of 1954), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following Rules :

1. These Rules may be cited as the Rules of Procedure (Defence Forces), 1954 (Amendment) Rules, 1955.

2. The Rules of Procedure (Defence Forces), 1954 ( S.I. No. 243 of 1954 ), are hereby amended—

(a) by the insertion in Rule 12, immediately after paragraph (10), of the following paragraph :

" (10A) The reasonable expenses of the attendance of any such witness who is not subject to military law shall be paid or tendered to him with the service of the summons by the person effecting such service.",

(b) by the substitution in subparagraph (c) and subparagraph (e) of Rule 26 of " from " for " for ",

(c) by the substitution in paragraph (2) and paragraph (4) of Rule 52 of " service books " for " regimental books " wherever the latter words occur,

(d) by the deletion of paragraph (2) of Rule 58, and

(e) by the insertion in Rule 84, immediately after paragraph (2), of the following paragraph :

" (2A) The reasonable expenses of the attendance of any such witness who is not subject to military law shall be paid or tendered to him with the service of the summons by the person effecting such service."
