AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (EGGS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1955.

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 38 of the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Act, 1939 (No. 2 of 1939), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following regulations:—

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1955.

(2) The Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Regulations, 1939 to 1954, and these Regulations shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Regulations, 1939 to 1955.

2. The Agricultural Produce (Eggs) Regulations, 1939 ( S. R. & O. No. 169 of 1939 ), are hereby amended as follows:—

(I) in subparagraph (b) of paragraph (8) of Article 16 "the period beginning on any 1st day of August and ending on the 1st day of March next following "shall be substituted for" the period beginning on any 1st day of September and ending on the 14th day of March next following."

(II) in clause (iv) of subparagraph (e) of paragraph (3) of Article 18 "the date of export mark shall be applied inside vertically to both sides of the centre division of the package" shall be substituted for "the date of export mark shall be applied to a lower side board of the package."

(III) in subparagraph (f) of paragraph (3) of Article 18 "(with the exception of the date of export mark)" shall be inserted after "the marks referred to in the foregoing subparagraphs of this paragraph."

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 15th day of March, 1955.
