S.I. No. 6/1955 - Coras Iompair Eireann (Crossdoney-Killeshandra Railway Line) Exemption Order, 1955.


WHEREAS Córas Iompair Éireann applied on the 8th day of February, 1954, to the Transport Tribunal for an Exemption Order pursuant to Section 55 of the Transport Act, 1950 (No. 12 of 1950) in respect of the railway line between Crossdoney and Killeshandra and the services of trains thereon as specified in the Schedule hereto :

AND WHEREAS Notice of said application was duly published in the manner and at the times directed by the said Tribunal :

AND WHEREAS one objection by an interested party to the making of the Order applied for was received by the said Tribunal :

AND WHEREAS the said Tribunal held a Sitting for hearing the said objector and the Board on the 3rd day of November, 1954, due notice whereof was given to the said parties :

AND WHEREAS the said objector did not appear at the said Sitting and after hearing the Board at the said Sitting the said Tribunal decided to make the Order applied for without modification and without any limitation as to the period of operation :

NOW, WE, THE TRANSPORT TRIBUNAL, in exercise of the powers conferred on us by section 55 of the Transport Act, 1950 (No. 12 of 1950) hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Córas Iompair Éireann (Crossdoney-Killeshandra Railway Line) Exemption Order, 1955.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 31st day of January, 1955.

3. Córas Iompair Éireann is hereby exempted from the obligation to provide or operate the services of trains specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Any service of trains for passengers and merchandise or either of them on the railway line between Crossdoney and Killeshandra in the County of Cavan.
