TRADE LOANS REGULATIONS, 1953.

I, SEAN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers vested in me by section 12 of the Trade Loans (Guarantee) Act, 1939 (No. 5 of 1939), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, signified by his Official Seal affixed hereto, hereby make the following regulations :—

1. These regulations may be cited as the Trade Loans Regulations, 1953.

2. The fees to be paid for the purposes of Section 5 of the Trade Loans (Guarantee) Act, 1939 , shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto, in lieu of those heretofore prescribed.

SCHEDULE

1. A payment of three pounds in respect of each application for a guarantee or loan.

2. A fee in respect of each guarantee given or loan granted under the Act of an amount equal to the sum of the following :—

(a) an amount calculated at the rate of one-half of one per centum of the amount guaranteed or loaned;

(b) an amount calculated at the rate of one per centum on the first two thousand pounds of the guarantee or loan and at the rate of one-tenth of one per centum on the balance in excess of two thousand pounds thereof, or the amount of fifty pounds, whichever is the lesser amount.
