SOCIAL WELFARE (EMPLOYMENT OF INCONSIDERABLE EXTENT) (No. 2) REGULATIONS, 1953.

The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 and paragraph 6 of Part II of the First Schedule to the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf hereby makes the following Regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) (No. 2) Regulations, 1953.

2. Employment (other than employment which is under a contract of service and is for the purpose of the employer's trade or business), in any one or more employments (which apart from these Regulations would be insurable) for less than eighteen hours in a contribution week where the employed person is not mainly dependent for his livelihood on the remuneration received for such employment or employments is hereby specified as being employment of inconsiderable extent.

3. The Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) Regulations, 1953 (S.I: No. 20 of 1953) are hereby revoked.

4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 31st day of August, 1953.
