IMPORTATION OF FOREST TREES (PROHIBITION) ORDER, 1949 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1952.

I, THOMAS WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the joint operation of the Destructive Insects and Pests Acts, 1877 to 1929, and the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), for the purpose of preventing the introduction into or the spreading in the State of disease and pests injurious to forest trees, hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Importation of Forest Trees (Prohibition) Order, 1949 (Amendment) Order, 1952.

(2) The Importation of Forest Trees (Prohibition) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 292 of 1949 ), and this Order may be cited together as the Importation of Forest Trees (Prohibition) Orders, 1949 and 1952.

(3) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1953.

2. The Importation of Forest Trees (Prohibition) Order, 1949, is hereby amended by the addition to the genera mentioned in the First Schedule to that Order of the genus mentioned in the Schedule to this Order.
