FOOD HYGIENE REGULATIONS, 1950 (SHELLFISH CONTROLLED AREAS) ORDER, 1952.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Article 55 of the Food Hygiene Regulations, 1950 ( S.I. No. 205 of 1950 ), hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Food Hygiene Regulations, 1950 (Shellfish Controlled Areas) Order, 1952.

2. This Order shall come into operation on 1st day of October, 1952.

3. Each of the areas specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a controlled area for the purposes of Part VI of the Food Hygiene Regulations, 1950.

4. Paragraphs (c) and (e) of the Schedule to the Food Hygiene Regulations, 1950 (Shellfish Controlled Areas) Order, 1951 ( S.I. No. 16 of 1951 ), are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

CONTROLLED AREAS.

(a) The portion of the sea including inlets and harbours, the strands and tidal waters of rivers forming part of the respective districts of the Council of the County of Wexford and the Council of the County of Waterford lying north of a line drawn from the most southerly point of Sheep Island in the County of Waterford to the most southerly point of Hook Head in the County of Wexford.

(b) The portion of the sea including inlets and harbours, the strands and tidal waters of rivers forming part of the respective districts of the Council of the County of Mayo and the Council of the County of Sligo lying south of a straight line drawn from the most northerly point of Kilcummin Head in the County of Mayo to the most northerly point of the promontory known as Cloghagh in the County of Sligo.

(c) The portion of the sea including inlets and harbours, the strands and tidal waters of rivers forming part of the district of the Council of the County of Louth lying west of a straight line drawn from the most northerly point of the landing place east of Saint Andrew's Church in the townland of Drummullagh in the said County to the perch on the rock in the sea known as " The Black Rock " and a straight line drawn from the said perch to the most easterly point of Greer's Quay in the townland of Ballyonan in the said County.
