NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE (ADJUSTMENT OF BENEFIT) REGULATIONS, 1952.

The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (7) of Section 86 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, by this, his Order makes the following Regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Insurance (Adjustment of Benefit) Regulations, 1952.

2. Notwithstanding anything contained in subsections (3) and (4) of Section 86 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) an increase of the weekly rate of sickness benefit or disablement benefit under the said subsections shall not be payable to a person who is in receipt of any pension or allowance which is in respect of any disability incurred in the armed forces of the State or of any other State, being a pension in the highest degree or, in the case of an allowance, an allowance in the highest degree or an allowance granted to a person who is undergoing a special course of medical treatment in any institution or receiving training in a technical institution.

3. These Regulations shall come into operation and have effect as on and from the 7th day of July, 1952.
