Interpretation. |
1.—(1) In this Act— |

|
“the Act of 1931” means the Veterinary Surgeons Act, 1931 (No. 36 of 1931); |

|
“the Council” means the Veterinary Council; |
||
|
“the Minister” means the Minister for Agriculture; |
||
|
“prescribed” means prescribed by regulations made by the Council; |
||
|
“the register” means the register of veterinary surgeons maintained by the Council, and the word “registered” shall be construed accordingly; |
||
|
“veterinary surgery” includes veterinary medicine. |
||
|
(2) The register shall be known as the Register of Veterinary Surgeons for Ireland. |
