GARDA SIOCHANA ALLOWANCES (No. 2) ORDER, 1951.

I, GERALD BOLAND, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), and with the sanction of the Minister for Finance testified by his official seal affixed hereto, hereby order as follows:—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Allowances (No. 2) Order, 1951.

(2) This Order shall be included among the orders that may be cited together as the Garda Síochána Allowances Orders, 1947 to 1951.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Garda Síochána Allowances (Consolidation) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 167 of 1947 ), or in any of the orders amending that order, the Minister for Justice shall, as regards stations in the Dublin Metropolitan Area, have power to increase as from the 1st day of January, 1952, each of the amounts, payable as rent allowances to station sergeants, sergeants and guards, mentioned in paragraph (1) of Article 4 of that order to an amount not exceeding £55 per annum.
