UNDERSIZED SEA-FISH (CRABS AND LOBSTERS) ORDER, 1951.

I, GEARÓID MAC PHARTHALÁIN, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2 and 11 of the Sea Fisheries (Protection of Immature Fish) Act, 1937 (No. 33 of 1937) and the Fisheries (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1951 ( S.I. No. 292 of 1951 ) and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows, that is to say :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Undersized Sea-fish (Crabs and Lobsters) Order, 1951.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the, 1st day of January, 1952.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Any edible crab which measures less than four inches and a half across the broadest part of the back and any lobster which measures less than nine inches from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail when spread as far as possible flat shall be, for the purpose of the Sea Fisheries (Protection of Immature Fish) Act, 1937 , undersized.
