S.I. No. 310 of 1951.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (OFFICERS AGE LIMIT) ORDER, 1951

WHEREAS the Minister for Local Government is the appropriate Minister for the purposes of Part II of the Local Government Act, 1941 , in relation to the offices to which this Order relates :

NOW THEREFORE the Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 23 of the Local Government Act, 1941 , and of every other power in this behalf enabling him by this his Order declares and orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Officers Age Limit) Order, 1951.

2. The age of sixty-five years shall be the age limit for any office specified in the Schedule hereto the holder of which is entitled by law to a superannuation allowance on his resigning or otherwise ceasing to hold office.
