EMERGENCY POWERS (DISTRIBUTION OF BUTTER) ORDER, 1944 (TWENTY-FIRST RATION PERIOD) ORDER, 1951.

I, SÉAN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939) as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Distribution of Butter) Order, 1944 (Twenty-first Ration Period) Order, 1951.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 24th day of November, 1951.

2. In this Order, the expression " the Principal Order " means the Emergency Powers (Distribution of Butter) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 121 of 1944), as amended by any subsequent Order.

3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Principal Order.

4. This Order is supplemental to the Principal Order.

5. For the purposes of the Principal Order—

(a) the period (in this Order referred to as the twenty-first ration period) of twenty-six weeks commencing on the 24th day of November, 1951, shall be a ration period ;

(b) page 26 containing coupons marked with the letter " M " of a general ration book issued under the Emergency Powers (General Rationing Provisions) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 130 of 1944), shall be applicable to the twenty-first ration period.

6. For the purposes of the Principal Order, each coupon in page 26 forming part of a general ration book issued under the Emergency Powers (General Rationing Provisions) Order, 1944 (S. R. & O. No. 130 of 1944), and marked with the letter " M " and a number specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a butter coupon, but shall be valid only for the ration week commencing on the date set out in the second column of the said Schedule opposite the mention of such butter coupon.
