PENSIONS (INCREASE) (LIMERICK HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS) REGULATIONS, 1950.

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1950 (No. 3 of 1950), hereby make the following regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions (Increase) (Limerick Harbour Commissioners) Regulations, 1950.

2. In these Regulations—

the expression " the Act " means the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1950 (No. 3 of 1950) ;

the expression " the appropriate sum " has the meaning given to it in the Act ;

the expression " the harbour authority " means the Limerick Harbour Commissioners ;

the word " pension " means an allowance specified in Part V of the Schedule to the Act.

3. The increase in pension which may be granted by the harbour authority under the Act shall not exceed whichever of the following is the less—

(a) the appropriate sum, or

(b) the amount which would bring the pension up to that which would be payable to a pensioner of equivalent status and service who retired on the 1st day of April, 1949.
