MILITARY SERVICE PENSIONS REGULATIONS (No. 1), 1927 (AMENDMENT), REGULATIONS, 1950.

The Minister for Defence, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 9 of the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924 (No. 48 of 1924), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :

1. These regulations may be cited as the Military Service Pensions Regulations (No. 1), 1927 (Amendment) Regulations, 1950.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. The Military Service Pensions Regulations (No. 1), 1927 ( S. R. & O. No. 13 of 1927 ), are hereby amended—

(a) by the deletion in paragraph 10 of the words from " Every application " to " before the date fixed " and the substitution of " The Minister for Defence may accept any application under section 2 of the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924 (No. 48 of 1924), not later than the 7th day of June, 1951, from any person who tenders reasons satisfactory to the Minister for his failure to apply before the 31st day of December, 1925" ;

(b) by the deletion of proviso (a) to paragraph 10 ; and

(c) by the deletion of paragraph 12.
