ALUMINIUM KNITTING PINS (SUSPENSION OF CUSTOMS DUTY) ORDER, 1950.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Aluminium Knitting Pins (Suspension of Customs Duty) Order, 1950.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 12th April, 1950.

2.—The duty of customs imposed by Section 5 of the Finance Act, 1937 (No. 18 of 1937), and mentioned at reference number 14 in the First Schedule thereto is hereby suspended in respect of knitting pins made wholly or mainly of aluminium or of an alloy of which aluminium is the main constituent or of a combination of aluminium and any such alloy.
