CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (SPINNING AND WEAVING OF JUTE) (YOUNG PERSONS DEEMED TO BE ADULT WORKERS) REGULATIONS, 1950.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 40 of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Conditions of Employment (Spinning and Weaving of Jute) (Young Persons deemed to be Adult Workers) Regulations, 1950.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Young persons who are not less than sixteen years of age and whose employment is for purposes of apprenticeship or vocational training shall, while doing the form of industrial work specified in the Schedule to these Regulations, be deemed to be adult workers for the purposes of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936).

SCHEDULE.

(a) rove doffers,

(b) spinning doffers,

(c) weaving assistants,

(d) drawer's assistants,

(e) finishing assistants,

(f) creel fillers,

in the spinning and weaving of jute.
