MATS (SUSPENSION OF CUSTOMS DUTY) ORDER, 1950.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Mats (Suspension of Customs Duty) Order, 1950.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of March, 1950.

2. The duty of customs imposed by section 11 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 20 of 1932), and mentioned at reference number 33 in the First Schedule thereto is hereby suspended in respect of mats made of straw, rush or grass.
