EMERGENCY IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (NO. 250) ORDER, 1950.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932) as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution, and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 250) Order, 1950.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3.—(1) The Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 226) Order, 1946 ( S. R. & O. No. 129 of 1946 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for subparagraph (f) of paragraph 4 of the following :—

" (f) on component parts (other than parts shown to the satisfaction of the Revenue Commissioners to be completely unassembled) and accessories of wireless telegraphy apparatus which are not chargeable under any of the preceding sub-paragraphs of this paragraph, but excluding valves, dry batteries, battery plates, resistances commonly known as fixed resistances and condensers commonly known as fixed condensers, the rate of an amount equal to seventy-five per cent. of the value of each such component part or accessory."

(2) Sub-paragraph (1) of this paragraph shall come into operation on the 3rd day of February, 1950.
