EMERGENCY POWERS (CONTROL OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1940 (AMENDMENT) (No. 33) ORDER, 1950.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows:—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940 (Amendment) (No. 33) Order, 1950.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 19th day of January, 1950.

2. The Schedule to the Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940 (S. R. & O. No. 149 of 1940), is hereby amended by the insertion of the following :—

" Sugar and sugar syrups, molasses and glucose.

Sugar confectionery of all kinds made from or containing sugar or other sweetening matter, except the following : jams, marmalades, biscuits, cakes, puddings and canned fruit."

3.—(1) The Emergency Powers (Control of Export) Order, 1940, as amended by subsequent orders, shall cease to apply to the following :—

Books and periodicals.

Coffee and chicory (including mixtures of coffee and chicory) Cocoa, raw and cocoa husks and shells.

Margarine.

Plaster board.

Plaster of paris.

Soap.

Sunshades.

Waste paper.

(2) The said Order is hereby amended by the deletion of " Sugar, molasses, glucose."
