IRISH NATIONALITY AND CITIZENSHIP REGULATIONS, 1939 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1949.

I, SEÁN MAC EOIN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935 (No. 13 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling and, in so far as these regulations relate to the fixing of fees, with the consent of the Minister for Finance testified by his signature hereto, do hereby make the following regulations :—

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Regulations, 1939 (Amendment) Regulations, 1949.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 12th day of June, 1949.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Paragraph (2) of Article 20 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Regulations, 1939 ( S. R. & O. No. 16 of 1939 ), is hereby amended by the addition, immediately after sub-paragraph (e), of the following new subparagraph—

" (f) on every certificate of naturalisation issued under section 4 or 6 of the Act on the application of a person born within the national territory, a fee of one pound."
