FLOUR AND BREAD (RATIONING) ORDER, 1946 (FIFTH AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1949.

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), hereby orders as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Fifth Amendment) Order, 1949.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of January, 1949.

2. The Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 ( S. R. & O. No. 388 of 1946 ), as amended by subsequent Orders, shall not apply in relation to :—

(a) flour produced under and in accordance with a permit granted for the purposes of paragraph (1) of Article 5 of the Flour, Wheatenmeal and Bread Order, 1949, or

(b) bread manufactured from flour so produced, or

(c) flour confectionery manufactured from flour so produced.
