LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SUPERANNUATION) ACT, 1948 (FIRE BRIGADE OFFICERS AND SERVANTS) REGULATIONS, 1948.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 71 of the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1948 hereby makes the following Regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1948 (Fire Brigade Officers and Servants) Regulations, 1948.

2. In these Regulations—

the expression " the Act " means the Local Government (Superannuation) Act, 1948 (No. 4 of 1948), and

the expression " fire brigade authority " means a fire brigade authority under the Fire Brigades Act, 1940 (No. 7 of 1940).

3. Each of the classes of officers of fire brigade authorities specified in the Schedule hereto and no other person shall be fire brigade officers for the purposes of The act.

4. Any servant of a fire brigade authority whose employment on fire brigade duties is of a permanent and whole-time character shall be a fire brigade servant for the purposes of The act.

Second Officer County or County Borough Fire Service.

Third Officer County Borough Fire Service.

District Officer County Borough Fire Service.
