EMERGENCY POWERS (KEROSENE RATIONING) ORDER, 1943 (MONTHLY RATION OF DOMESTIC USERS) (No. 2) ORDER, 1948.

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), hereby order as follows:—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Kerosene Rationing) Order, 1943 (Monthly Ration of Domestic Users) (No. 2) Order, 1948.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1948.

2. In this Order the expression " the Principal Order " means the Emergency Powers (Kerosene Rationing) Order, 1943 (S. R. & O. No. 272 of 1943).

3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Principal Order.

4. This Order is supplemental to the Principal Order.

5. For the purposes of the Principal Order, the ration of a domestic user of kerosene during the month of October, 1948, or any subsequent ration month, shall be two gallons of kerosene.

6. Article 6 of the Emergency Powers (Kerosene Rationing) Order, 1943 (Domestic Users) Order, 1948 ( S. R. & O. No. 268 of 1948 ), is hereby revoked.
