THERAPEUTIC SUBSTANCES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1948.

The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Therapeutic Substances Act, 1932 , after consultation with the Therapeutic Substances Advisory Committee, hereby orders as follows, that is to say :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Therapeutic Substances (Amendment) Regulations, 1948, and shall be read and construed as one with the Therapeutic Substances Regulations, 1934 to 1947, and may be cited collectively therewith as the Therapeutic Substances Regulations, 1934 to 1948.

2. Articles 21 of the Therapeutic Substances (Saorstát Eireann) Regulations, 1934, shall have effect as if there were added at the end thereof of the following proviso :—

Provided always that where a therapeutic substance is manufactured in a laboratory or other institution approved for the manufacture of such substance by the Minister on the advice of the Therapeutic Substances Advisory Committee, it shall be sufficient for an applicant for a licence to import such substance to furnish an undertaking by the manufacturer that such manufacturer will comply with the conditions specified in paragraph (a) of this Article.
