TOWNS IMPROVEMENT (IRELAND) ACT, 1854 (TRAMORE) ORDER, 1948.

WHEREAS in pursuance of an Order of the Minister for Local Government (hereinafter called " the Minister ") dated the 19th day of December, 1947, a meeting was held on the 14th day of January, 1948, of the local government electors registered in respect of qualifications in the area comprised within the boundaries specified and approved in the said Order, being the boundaries of the town of Tramore :

AND WHEREAS a resolution was passed at the said meeting by the said local government electors in favour of adopting and carrying into effect within the town of Tramore all the provisions of the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854 (hereinafter called " the Act of 1854 "):

AND WHEREAS more than ten persons qualified to vote at the said meeting demanded, in writing, that a poll be taken, and the said poll was duly taken on the 4th day of March, 1948 :

AND WHEREAS a majority of the said local government electors voted in favour of the adopting and carrying into effect within the town of Tramore of the provisions of the Act of 1854:

AND WHEREAS the resolution and determination of the said meeting have been duly certified to the Minister :

NOW THEREFORE the Minister by this his Order declares and gives notice as follows:—

1. The adoption of all the provisions of the Act of 1854 in and for the town of Tramore, bounded as set forth in the said Order of the Minister dated the 19th day of December, 1947, is hereby approved.

2. The number of commissioners to be elected for carrying into execution the provisions of the Act of 1854 in the town of Tramore shall be nine.

3. On and from the 1st day of December, 1948, all the provisions of the Act of 1854 shall apply to and be in force within the town of Tramore.

4. This Order may be cited as the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854 (Tramore) Order, 1948.
