BY-LAW No. C.S. 99. No. 92 OR CONNEMARA DISTRICT.

CLOSE SEASON FOR EELS.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers now exercisable by me under the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1944, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby make the following By-Law, that is to say :—

1. This By-Law may be cited as The Connemara District Close Season By-Law, No. C.S. 99, 1947.

2. This By-Law shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1947.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this By-Law.

4. The period heretofore appointed for the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Eels with lines and hooks (other than single rod and line) in the No. 92 or Connemara District, shall cease.

5. There shall be kept and observed in lieu thereof as the Annual Close Season during which it shall not be lawful to take or fish for Eels with lines and hooks (other than single rod and line) in the said District the period from the 11th January in each year to the 9th April in the same year, both said days inclusive.
