DISTRICT COURT (NEW AREAS) ORDER, 1927 (VARIATION No. 96) ORDER, 1946.

I, GERALD BOLAND, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 47 of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926), and of section 11 of the Court Officers Act, 1945 (No. 25 of 1945), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the District Court (New Areas) Order, 1927 (Variation No. 96) Order, 1946.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of November, 1946.

2.—(1) The days and hours for holding the District Court for the purpose of civil proceedings in the district court areas mentioned in the First Schedule hereto are hereby varied by the substitution of the days and hours mentioned in that behalf in the said Schedule for those appointed heretofore.

(2) Accordingly, Part I of the Schedule to the District Court (New Areas) Order, 1927 ( S. R. & O. No. 103 of 1927 ), shall have effect as if the First Schedule hereto were substituted for so much of that Part as relates to the district court areas mentioned in the said Schedule.

3.—(1) The days and hours for holding the District Court for the purpose of summary jurisdiction business in the district court areas mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby varied by the substitution of the days and hours mentioned in that behalf in the said Schedule for those appointed heretofore.

(2) Accordingly, Part II of the Schedule to the District Court (New Areas) Order, 1927 ( S. R. & O. No. 103 of 1927 ), shall have effect as if the Second Schedule hereto were substituted for so much of that Part as relates to the district court areas mentioned in the said Schedule.

4.—(1) Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated before the date on which this Order comes into operation and is not completed before that date shall be continued and completed in like manner as if this Order had not been made.

(2) For the purposes of this Article, business transacted in the District Court shall be regarded as being initiated on the day on which the summons, warrant, process, or other originating document relating to it is issued.

Second Wednesday, 11 a.m.

Rathcoole, Saggart, Glencullen, Glasnevin Rural, Blanchardstown, Clonsilla, Coolock, Howth Rural, Beann Eadair Ward in the Co' Boro' of Dublin, Rathfarnham, Tallaght, Whitechurch, Rathmichael ; those portions of the Electoral Divisions of Castleknock, Clondalkin, Palmerston, Dundrum, Drumcondra Rural, Finglas, Killiney, Ballybrack, Milltown, Stillorgan, Terenure Donnybrook and Dun Laoghaire No. 4 outside the Dublin Metropolitan District, and that portion of the County Boro' of Dublin lying south of the River Dodder and bounded on the west by the townlands of Butterfield, Old Orchard and Willbrook and on the east by the townlands of Rathmines Little and Churchtown Upper, Lucan, Newcastle and in the County Kildare, Celbridge, Donaghcumper, Leixlip.

Shankill :

First and Third Wednesday, a.m.

* Note—Pending the provision of suitable Courthouse accommodation at Drumcondra, all cases appropriate to that Court will be heard at Kilmainham on the first and third Thursday, at 11 a.m.
