CUSTOMS-FREE AIRPORT (AIR NAVIGATION) REGULATIONS, 1947.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13 of the Customs-free Airport Act, 1947 (No. 5 of 1947), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, testified by his official seal affixed hereto, hereby make the following regulations :

1. These regulations may be cited as the Customs-free Airport (Air Navigation) Regulations, 1947.

2. In these regulations the expression " the airport " means the Customs-free airport ; the expression " the authorised agent " means a responsible person, who represents an airline, owner, or operator, and who is authorised by such airline, owner or operator to act on all matters pertaining to the entry and clearance of aircraft, crew, passengers, cargo or stores of such airline, owner or operator.

3. Where an aircraft arrives at the airport from outside the State, the Commander of the aircraft or the authorised agent shall, on arrival, exhibit the aircraft journey log book to the Airport Manager or his deputy.

4. Where an aircraft is about to leave the airport for a place outside the State, the Commander of the aircraft or the authorised agent shall exhibit the aircraft journey log book to the Airport Manager or his deputy.

5. The Commander of an aircraft which arrives at the airport from another part of the State shall forthwith take the aircraft into the Customs area as defined by the Customs-free Airport Order, 1947, unless the aircraft has been granted outward clearance from a Customs Airport in the State.
