DISTRICT COURT (NEW AREAS) ORDER, 1927 (VARIATION No. 98) ORDER, 1946.

I, GERALD BOLAND, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 47 of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926), and of section 11 of the Court Officers Act, 1945 (No. 25 of 1945), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the District Court (New Areas) Order, 1927 (Variation No. 98) Order, 1946.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1946.

2.—(1) For the purpose of civil proceedings in the District Court a new district court area, to be known as the District Court Area of Killenaule, is hereby created in District No. 22 in the County of Tipperary, South Riding.

(2) The district court area shall consist of the district electoral divisions specified in the First Schedule hereto, and the district court area of Clonmel for the purpose of civil proceedings is accordingly varied by the removal therefrom of the said district electoral divisions.

(3) The District Court for the district court area shall be held at the place and times specified in the First Schedule hereto.

3. The days and times for holding the District Court in the district court areas mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby varied by the substitution of the days and times mentioned in that behalf in the said Schedule for those appointed heretofore.

4.—(1) Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated before the date on which this Order comes into operation and is not completed before that date shall be continued and completed in like manner as if this Order had not been made.

(2) For the purposes of this Article, business transacted in the District Court shall be regarded as being initiated on the day on which the summons, warrant, process, or other originating document relating to it is issued.
