SOLICITORS' REMUNERATION ACT, 1881, ADAPTATION ORDER, 1946.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 12 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922) (as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution), and section 5 of the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 (No. 40 of 1937), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Solicitors' Remuneration Act, 1881, Adaptation Order, 1946.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Section 2 of the Solicitors' Remuneration Act, 1881, shall have effect as if, for the references therein to the Lord Chancellor of Ireland, there were substituted references to the Chief Justice, and, for the references therein to the Lord Chief Justice of Ireland and the Master of the Rolls in Ireland, there were substituted references to the President of the High Court and the senior ordinary judge of the Supreme Court.
